Most recently, it appears like Zachary Levi has confirmed that Shazam 2 Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson deliberately blocked Black Adam’s cameo appearance in Shazam 2.
Here is everything you need to know.
Zachary Levi claims that Dwayne Johnson sabotaged Shazam 2
According to recent news, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson ‘kneecapped’ the latest film Shazam 2. Moreover, he refused to allow any of his Black Adam co-stars to feature in the movie for a cameo, including himself.
In addition, it seems like Zachary Levi himself confirmed that Johnson declined to participate in Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Additionally, The Wrap revealed that Johnson also did not allow Levi to appear in a cameo scene for Black Adam.

Johnson is also trying to keep his distance from Shazam, who is possibly the closest relative in Black Adam’s sprawling DC family.
Meanwhile, Levi seemingly confirmed the news earlier this week. He took to his Instagram story to repost some excerpts from the report by The Wrap.
Furthermore, he outlined the post with a caption that read, ‘The truth shall set you free.’
Besides that, Levi also shared a message on his Twitter handle to defend Shazam Fury of the Gods following its underwhelming release at the US box office.
He stated, ‘I think the biggest issue we’re having is marketing. This is a perfect family movie, and yet a lot of families aren’t aware of that. Which is just a shame.’

David F Sandberg, director of the sequel of Shazam also confirms the report
Shazam’s director David F Sandberg also confirmed the speculations claimed in The Wrap’s report.
He sat down with The Hollywood Reporter following the release of Shazam Fury of the Gods and talked about the sequel.
He said, ‘There were supposed to be characters from [Black Adam’s] Justice Society, but that fell apart three days before we were going to roll cameras.’
Additionally, he mentioned, ‘So, Peter Safran, who produced this movie and Peacemaker, made some calls, and thankfully, Jen Holland and Steve Agee were able to come by on very short notice.’
Meanwhile, the report on The Wrap said that Johnson, ‘vetoed a planned post-credits scene in Black Adam, which would have seen Shazam recruited by Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman, and other costumed heroes, into the Justice Society of America.’
Regardless, Johnson has previously backed down to star in another Fast and the Furious movie after he reportedly had a fallout with Vin Diesel.

The rock has that much power over a character he played?

enjoyed black Adam & I’m a big WWE fan. but damn all these allegations on The Rock is making me dislike him as a person. You know how cool DC universe would’ve been with all these worlds finally coming together? Black Adam is a Shazam’s villain anyway. Dude really messed it up.

WB would’ve of had the final decision, not Dwayne Johnson (even if he did say no). We should all know this by now but I guess this makes a more clickable story.

At some point I’m glad that the Rock is going out of the projects because he’s so entitled. Black Adam VS Superman? Putting Krypto his voice just because he wanted to be the principal character? Naaah, I’m put
