The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office in California has announced a $20,000 reward for information on a Native American woman who disappeared over three decades ago.
Andrea “Chick” White was last seen on July 31, 1991, near the Blue Lake off-ramp on Highway 299 in Humboldt County. She was 22 years old at the time of her disappearance, as reported by FOX 10.
The reward fund includes $5,000 from the Bureau of Indian Affairs Missing and Murdered Unit and an additional $15,000 contributed by the Hoopa Valley Tribe.
Authorities believe White might have accepted a ride from someone driving a “white over green 1964 Chevy Impala four-door with mud/snow tires on the rear” at approximately 1:30 p.m. on the day she vanished.
White is described as being 5 feet tall and weighing around 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Cold Case Investigator Mike Fridley with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 707-441-3024.
