On Tuesday, a Kentucky man was arrested for kidnapping three missing teen girls and sexually assaulting them.

WLKY reported that the three girls, ages 13, 14 and 15, vanished earlier this month from the Home of the Innocents, a residential facility in Louisville which houses abused, neglected, and homeless children. Brian Sauer, 44, allegedly admitted to knowing the three girls were missing when he picked them up on the side of the road on May 8.

Bauer reportedly gave marijuana to the girls before taking them to Cox Park, where he raped the 14-year-old. He then drove the girls to a motel in Clarksville, Indiana, and sexually assaulted all three of them, according to WDRB.

Bauer allegedly raped the 15-year-old girl on a second instance when he drove her back to Louisville. WDRB reported that he then picked up the other two girls from Indiana and dropped all three off at a trailer park.

Police eventually found the girls as two were located at the trailer park and the third teen returned home. The three victims reportedly identified Sauer by his name and on social media. Reports indicated that rape kits were performed on two of the girls.

Sauer pleaded not guilty to kidnapping of a minor, third-degree rape, third-degree engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor, and third-degree sexual abuse. WDRB reported that his bond was set at $1 million.

“Good luck to you, sir,” Judge Wolf said during Wednesday’s bond hearing.

“I don’t believe in luck,” Sauer responded. “I believe everything is predestined.”
