Actor Timothy Busfield finds himself at the center of serious allegations, with claims of past sexual harassment resurfacing alongside recent charges involving child sexual misconduct. These troubling accusations trace back decades, now gaining renewed attention.
Eliza Roberts, sister-in-law to actress Julia Roberts, has come forward with her own accusations against Busfield, citing incidents from years ago. According to a deposition obtained by the DailyMail, she voluntarily provided details after a 17-year-old accused Busfield of harassment during the filming of “Little Big League” in 1993.
Roberts described Busfield’s behavior as sexually inappropriate, claiming he “harassed and humiliated” her, portraying him as a “creep” with a pattern of pursuing women aggressively. Her statements add weight to the allegations, painting a picture of a troubling pattern.
In a 1995 deposition, Roberts reflected on her surprise upon hearing about the teen’s allegations, saying, “I read an article in a newspaper several weeks ago about a teenage girl who had worked on a set with Tim Busfield and she had accused him of lewd and harassing behavior, and I was stunned to hear it because the same thing happened to me with him.”
Supporting the teen’s claims, five additional women, including Roberts, have come forward with similar stories. Notably, three of these women were involved in the same film production, lending further credibility to the allegations against Busfield. This collective testimony underscores the gravity of the accusations and the need for a thorough examination of Busfield’s conduct over the years.
The teen claimed that Busfield relentlessly pursued her, claiming he would be “so great in bed,” while claiming that his then-spouse had been a ““lousy f***,” court documents read.
Two of the five women claimed Busfield pursued them at bars, in a sexually aggressive manner.
Busfield denied the allegations, and the lawsuit eventually settled out of court in 1995.
Previous Video Coverage
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Busfield is now facing child abuse and criminal sexual contact with a minor charges.
The alleged incidents reported happened to twin brothers on the set of “The Cleaning Lady,” between 2022 and 2024, a criminal complaint stated.
Busfield, again, denied the allegations.
“I did not do anything to those little boys,” Busfield said in a video recorded in his attorney’s officer before he turned himself in to Albuquerque police.
“I’m going to fight it. I’m going to fight it with a great team, and I’m going to be exonerated. I know I am because this is all so wrong and all lies.”
Prosecutors wanted Busfield to remain behind bars without bond, arguing that he “poses an ongoing and serious danger to children and the community.”
New Mexico state District Court Judge David A. Murphy ultimately released Busfield on his own recognizance to await trial.
