The Texas Department of Public Safety has activated an AMBER Alert for a teenager, aged 14, who is suspected to be in the company of a 41-year-old man.

Maryuri Yolani Gomez Marquez was last reported seen around 8 a.m. on Sunday in Plains, specifically in the 300 block of 13th Street. Authorities have identified Juan Orlando Garcia Sarmiento, aged 41, as the individual she was last spotted with.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children provides a description of Maryuri as a Hispanic female, standing 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 125 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

Sarmiento is characterized as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 9 inches in height and weighing approximately 188 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The duo may be traveling in a black 2010 Ford F-150, bearing the Texas license plate WGV-9997.
