Anonymous Donation Boosts Reward to $200K in Search for Savannah Guthrie’s Missing Mother

Three weeks into the search for missing Arizona grandmother Nancy Guthrie, the reward for information has surged to $200,000, thanks to an anonymous contribution and an existing FBI reward.

A collaboration with the nonprofit 88-Crime, which maintains a confidential tip line, has helped increase the reward for the 84-year-old’s whereabouts. This organization announced on Facebook that it is offering up to $102,500 for any tip leading to an arrest of those involved in Guthrie’s case.

In addition to this, the FBI is still offering its $100,000 reward for leads that result in the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for Guthrie’s disappearance.

Moreover, as previously highlighted by CrimeOnline, a separate $100,000 reward has been put forth by Wisconsin attorney Michael Hupy. This reward is being offered through Tucson’s Crime Stoppers to encourage the arrest of the culprit involved.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, a separate $100,000 reward has been offered by Wisconsin personal injury lawyer Michael Hupy, who is offering the reward through Tucson’s Crime Stoppers, “for the arrest of the perpetrator.”

Hupy told FOX 6 Milwaukee that Crime Stoppers offers tipsters the option of remaining anonymous, adding that providing personal information (the FBI’s reported requirement) could “deter people from coming forward.”

“She’s an 84-year-old woman and I don’t like the way the investigation and reward is being handled,” Hupy said.

Investigators believe someone took Nancy Guthrie against her will, from her Catalina Foothills home.

She was last seen January 31 after family members dropped her off at home, following dinner. They reported her missing the following day, when she failed to show up for church.

Nancy Guthrie is the mother of “Today” show host, Savannah Guthrie, who has routinely posted Instagram videos, pleading for her mother’s safe return.
