An Arizona man was charged with multiple counts after he savagely beat his girlfriend inside his apartment because he was angry she used his vape without asking.

Prosecutors said 32-year-old Nicholas Vincuillo beat the victim “beyond recognition,” KSAZ reported.

“She had 36 documented injuries to her head alone. She required significant medical intervention,” prosecutor Dawn Sauer said.

Court records say the victim is now “so terrified that she’s considering leaving the state.”

Vincuillo is accused of grabbing the victim and slamming her into a wall, then punching her and throwing her into a bathroom. He pointed a gun at her forehead and called her a derogatory name, all because she used his vape while he was in the shower.

Investigators said the woman escaped the apartment and went to a nearby fast food restaurant for help. She was taken to a hospital in Scottsdale for treatment.

“She was strangled, she had an orbital fracture, a fracture to her left hand. The forensic nurse described the victim’s injuries as being in the top five worst she has ever seen,” Sauer said.

Vincuillo tried to hide evidence of the assault, even “requiring [the victim] to shower, clean up the blood and disposing of the clothes.”

Investigators found a laptop, a cell phone, the victim’s clothing, and cleaning wipes in a trash compactor.

Court documents also said Vincuillo had a history of domestic violence and had previously told victim he was a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang.

“The officer believes that this is an attempt to threaten and intimidate the victim in this case,” the documents said.

Vincuillo faces seven felony charges, including aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. He’s being held on a $250,000 bond.
