ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and Gainesville Police Department have formed a county-wide Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The Task Force’s mission is to keep kids safe online and build stronger defenses against online exploitation, cyberbullying, and digital abuse with joint investigations and public awareness programs.

Sheriff Chad Scott announced that he had bonded four Gainesville Police Department Detectives as Deputy Sheriffs with his office to formally launch the Task Force.
