GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ASO) has announced that they are investigating the death of 21-year-old Aaviel Javion Hester-Guadalupe as a homicide.

At 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025, ASO deputies responded to a call about a medical emergency at Reflections Apartments (205 SW 75th St).

When deputies arrived, they located an unresponsive male subject in the apartment and determined that he was deceased.

Detectives responded to the scene and conducted a thorough but preliminary investigation. At this time, the death of the 21-year-old victim, who was identified as Aaviel Javion Hester-Guadalupe, is being investigated as a homicide.
