Authorities in Arizona have confirmed that the family of Nancy Guthrie was quickly cleared of any suspicion following her disappearance, officials reported.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared with KOLD on Monday that Guthrie’s family has been fully cooperative throughout the investigation. He noted that investigators eliminated them as suspects “within the first few days” after what appears to be an abduction.

“We engaged with them, seized their phones, and examined their computers. We thoroughly investigated their vehicles and homes. They are indeed victims in this situation,” Nanos explained to the news outlet.

Last week, the FBI released video and surveillance images capturing an individual near Guthrie’s residence around the time she went missing on January 31. Concern arose the next day when Guthrie did not show up at a friend’s house for virtual church services.

In addition to the search for Guthrie, police are also examining two ransom notes reportedly sent to local media. One note demanded a payment in Bitcoin, amounting to millions, for Guthrie’s safe return.

Additionally, a glove found near Guthrie’s Tucson home, resembling one seen in the surveillance video, is being analyzed for DNA.

No arrests have been made. No press conferences are scheduled as Nanos previously said a press conference will take place when there is a break in the case.
