A manager from a fast food outlet in the Atlanta region is currently behind bars following accusations of fatally shooting an employee’s father in the parking area of the establishment.
According to reports from WANF, Maurice Evans, aged 25, faces charges including murder, aggravated assault, and using a firearm during a felony. The incident resulted in the death of 43-year-old Dominque Goodman at the Palmetto Bojangles location.
It was revealed through arrest warrants that Evans admitted his actions to the authorities present at the scene.
The police stated that Goodman’s daughter, who was employed at the restaurant, had contacted her father on Sunday afternoon due to a “dispute with the team manager.” Goodman subsequently arrived at the location, where a confrontation ensued with Evans in the parking lot.
On Monday, Evans opted out of attending his court appearance, as noted by WAGA.
Relatives told the station that Goodman’s daughter called him, saying her shift manager was picking on her. The manager, Evans, was sent home but remained in the parking lot. When Goodman arrived, he began to talk with Evans, who got out of the car and shot him multiple times.
Evans remains in jail without bond, according to jail records.
