A North Carolina teen has gone missing and police are looking for the public’s help bringing her home.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) received a call for missing Kaniyha Lane,16, a little after 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Police said, “Ms. Lane was last seen leaving the magistrates office going towards E. Third Street and McDowell Street,” in Charlotte.
Lane is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 104 pounds. The teen is described by CMPD as having black hair and brown eyes. Lane was wearing blue sweatpants, a black short-sleeved shirt, and sockless black Croc shoes with a blue and green blanket wrapped around her when last seen.
Lane has her hair pulled up into two ponytails on top of her head.
Anyone who knows anything about her disappearance or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
