A judge has sealed a warrant pertaining to the search of accused University of Idaho killer Bryan Kohberger’s apartment.

According to News Nation Now, the document’s contents will remain private until March 1. Police had searched Kohberger’s apartment in Pullman, Washington, which is 10 miles from where four college students were murdered in November.

Per the Daily Mail, the courts have sealed the search warrant as its contents pose a “threat to public safety… [and] to the privacy of witnesses, victims, and victim families’ names in the affidavit.”

“Premature public disclosure of the details of this law enforcement investigation will create [a] serious and imminent threat to effective law enforcement and could result in the premature end of this investigation,” the document also stated.

A week earlier, a gag order was issued which prevents law enforcement, investigators, and attorneys from disclosing details regarding this case.

Kohberger, a Ph.D. criminal justice student at Washington State University, is believed to have turned off his phone during the November 13 murders. However, police claim he visited the area 12 times before the slayings.

The probable cause affidavit alleged that campus police at Kohberger’s college alerted Moscow, Idaho, police to his white 2015 Hyundai Elantra, which apparently resembles a car seen at the victims’ home around the time they were killed.

Surveillance footage reportedly showed a white four-door sedan, but it did not capture its front license plate. At the time of the killings, Kohberger’s car was registered in Pennsylvania, which does not require front plates.

Kohberger was arrested on December 30, after a cross-country trip with his father from Idaho to Pennsylvania. During their trip, Indiana police pulled over the pair twice. Sources claimed the FBI requested the traffic stops to view possible injuries on Kohberger’s hands.

Kohberger was extradited to Idaho on Thursday. He remains jailed without bail.
