The search for a missing New Jersey man, 22-year-old Morty Wortman, continues to intensify as it stretches beyond a week. Wortman, a student at Rutgers University, was last seen near the Collier Mills Wildlife Management Area, according to reports.
On November 21, Wortman was officially reported missing. His disappearance is considered concerning, although exact reasons for this classification have not been disclosed, as noted by Jersey Shore Online. The mystery deepened when Wortman’s car was found at Regional Day School in Jackson, as revealed by his brother in an interview with News12.
Surveillance cameras captured Wortman and a friend entering another vehicle at the school, providing a crucial lead in the ongoing investigation. As the search efforts continue, both the Rutgers University Police Department and the Jackson Police Department are working collaboratively, with the latter taking the lead, according to Rutgers spokesperson Megan Florance.
Details regarding Wortman’s physical appearance have been released to aid in the search. He is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Notably, he has a nose piercing and wears several earrings in both ears, which could help in identifying him.
