HONOLULU (KHON) – Following the havoc wreaked by a recent low-pressure storm system that led to severe flooding across Hawaiian communities, Nexstar’s KHON2, along with its local affiliates, is mobilizing aid efforts.

Individuals eager to lend a hand can make donations via the Keiki O Ka Aina website, where officials guarantee that contributions will be directed straight to families in need for their recovery processes.

For those preferring to donate to specific KHON nonprofit collaborators, there is an option available for direct contributions as well.

KHON has joined forces with organizations such as Keiki O Ka Aina, Hawaiian Council, Lahui Foundation, Molokai Cares, North Shore Chamber of Commerce, and The Salvation Army to broadcast the “Hawaii Together: Flood Relief Telethon” and engage viewers.

Every dollar raised will be funneled directly to families affected by the floods, ensuring that aid is delivered swiftly and precisely where it is most needed.

Keiki O Ka Aina

Keiki O Ka ʻĀina (KOKA), a long-standing Hawaii nonprofit rooted in education, culture, and community support, is serving as the leading organizer of the “Hawaii Together: Flood Relief Telethon” in partnership with KHON2 and other trusted organizations.

Keiki O Ka ʻĀina has spent years supporting local families through programs such as Family Learning Centers, early childhood education, and the Laulima Giving Program, which provides essential resources to families in need.

Guided by Hawaiian values, the organization focuses on strengthening literacy, parenting skills, and cultural connections — making them a trusted leader to help distribute critical aid to families impacted by the flooding.

Online donations can be made on Keiki O Ka ʻĀina’s website.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is one of the largest social service providers in the United States, serving communities in every zip code nationwide.

Known for its wide range of services, the organization provides assistance through food pantries, shelters, financial aid programs, summer camps and volunteer opportunities.

Their involvement in the telethon strengthens the effort to deliver essential resources and relief to Hawaiʻi families impacted by flooding.

Viewers can donate during the telethon airing Tuesday, March 31, from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. HST. The telethon can be seen on KHON, KHII and CW, and, for those who don’t live in the islands, on KHON2.com and CTV channel KHON+.
