Four people have been arrested in North Georgia after they allegedly attacked a father and daughter while they were camping over the weekend.
The dad, 58-year-old Bruce Waldon, remains in the ICU at a hospital in Gainesville, suffering from severe cuts and a brain bleed, WANF reported. His 20-year-old daughter, Grace Waldon, suffered bruising and cut one of her attackers in self defense.
“My dad was eating peanut brittle and fixing his fishing pole and my sister was eating boiled peanuts,” said another daughter, Brittanee Hollingsworth, who was not on the camping trip. “And my dad was attacked with a beer bottle on the side of the head, and cut him from his ear to the back of his neck, and was passed out on the ground.”
The White County Sheriff’s Office said it had arrested Krista Wilson, 44; Joshua Wilson, 42; Joshua Miller, 32;and Charles Miller, 39, charging them with aggravated assault and battery.
Waldon’s family believes more people were involved in the attack at Low Gap Campground in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest near Helen, and the sheriff’s office said it is still investigating.
