In a shocking revelation, two women from Michigan are facing serious charges after being accused of running a drug operation from within a daycare center where they were employed.

According to Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson, a significant bust at the Fun N Some Daycare in Flint led to the seizure of three ounces of cocaine and two firearms. The arrest came after a controlled drug purchase was orchestrated at the daycare, resulting in the apprehension of the daycare’s license holder, Tatiana Jones, 38, and an employee, Latoriya Brown, 34. The daycare, operating from a residential property, was suddenly thrust into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Fortunately, Swanson confirmed that no children were present at the daycare during the illegal activities. “They planned to run an active daycare,” Swanson explained to WKRC. “Children would have been coming in, while drugs were being bought and sold. We intervened before that could happen.”

Although the daycare had acquired a license from the state Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement and Potential just last year, their operations were short-lived. Official records indicate that the daycare’s license was revoked in October, terminating their ability to operate legally.

While reports indicated that a state license for the home daycare was obtained last year through the state Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement and Potential, records indicated its license was revoked in October.

Jones and Brown are charged with the delivery or manufacturing of cocaine, in addition to weapons charges. WJBK reported that Brown is a felon and habitual offender.
