Texas police are investigating after a newborn’s body was reportedly found in a front yard on Tuesday.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Fort Worth police believe the baby girl had been put on the property between 10 p.m. Monday and 6:40 a.m. Tuesday. The baby was deceased by the time she was found.
Detectives believe the girl was born hours before she was found. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the baby was in a plastic bag.
Police have asked the public for surveillance footage and for any witnesses to come forward with information about the deceased newborn’s mother. A resident told WFAA that he and some neighbors checked their Ring camera footage but his did not hold any clues about the baby or her death.
