Authorities have taken DNA samples from employees of Nancy Guthrie, who vanished a week ago at the age of 84, in hopes of uncovering new leads in her disappearance.
According to anonymous sources cited by Fox News, both the pool cleaner and landscaper employed by Guthrie have provided buccal swabs as part of the ongoing investigation. This development follows the FBI’s release of surveillance video and images of a person of interest captured outside Guthrie’s residence in Tucson on the night of January 31.
Police in Pima County suspect that the last time anyone saw Nancy Guthrie was at her Tucson home on the evening of January 31. Concern for her safety escalated the following day when she did not show up at a friend’s house for virtual church services as expected.
Though authorities have yet to identify any suspects in Guthrie’s case, they are diligently examining two ransom notes reportedly sent to local media outlets.
