Chicago Police are looking for a fedora-wearing, guitar-toting arsonist who lit several fires in trash bins on the north side of the city.

Police said the fires were all set in the early hours of November 24, 2024, but police did not release information about the incidents until Friday, when they posted a video showing the suspect setting fires between 2:45 a.m. and 3:20 a.m., CWBChicago reported.

The man has medium length hair and appears to have a mustache. He appeared to be smoking a cigarette while wearing a fedora and a long dark coat with a colorful, striped guitar case on his back.

The video says the man set “several” fires in the neighborhoods, and he is seen on the video lighting something on fire and dropping it into the garbage bins, leaving them open as he walks away.

Anyone with information is asked to call arson detectives at 312-746-7618 regarding case #JH509735.
