Two new pieces of evidence were submitted in the Caysen Allison murder trial, including security footage showing a detective questioning the defendant after the 2022 stabbing.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, prosecutors said Allison, then 18, stabbed Jose Luis “Joe” Ramirez Jr., 18, multiple times during a fight involving several students on May 18, 2022, at Belton High School in Belton.

Police arrested Allison shortly after the incident and found a folding knife near his home, covered in what appeared to be

Earlier this week, Detective Gene Cole testified that he questioned Allison and his medical records from an ER visit, following the incident, KWTX reports.

Footage showed Allison in distress, with him placing his head in his hands and eventually lying on the ground before throwing up. Despite his obvious discomfort, Cole continued to question him, during which Allison remarked, “Oh, my head hurts.”

After giving his statement, Allison was taken to the ER, where a CT scan revealed he had a closed head injury. The medical records also indicated a cut on the inside of his lip.

During police questioning, Allison reportedly described how he told Ramirez and his friends in the bathroom, “I’m not fighting in school; I just want to graduate.”

He recounted that when they started taking off their backpacks, he pulled out his knife and warned, “Don’t touch me, or I’m going to stab you,” just before Ramirez punched him.

Video footage showed Detective Cole asking Allison why he chose to grab the knife instead of reporting the boys to an adult. Allison responded that he needed to get to school and didn’t think they would follow through on any threats.

The incident involved Allison, Ramirez, and four other boys inside the bathroom on the morning in question. Ramirez had previously confronted Allison during an after-prom party after accusing Allison of behaving aggressively toward a friend’s date. The pair agreed to fight at a later time, at an off-campus location, but bumped into each other in the bathroom beforehand.

Ramirez allegedly said that if they were going to fight, they should go ahead and fight in the bathroom.

Witnesses confirmed Ramirez threw the first punch.

Footage then showed Ramirez bleeding as he fled the bathroom and ran down the main hallway before collapsing. School staff reportedly cut Ramirez’s shirt open to find a “gaping wound across his left chest.”

A subsequent hospital exam showed Ramirez with several other lacerations on his arm, back and buttocks.

If convicted, Allison could face life in prison.

The trial continues. Check back for updates.
