In Gainesville, Florida, tensions flared in an unexpected confrontation involving a DoorDash delivery, leading to the arrest of two individuals. Calista Nicole Crenshaw, aged 26 from Micanopy, and Jaquez De’onte Keith, 27, from Alachua, found themselves in custody following an incident that escalated over a food delivery gone awry.

The incident unfolded around 11:55 a.m. on March 25, when an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call at Brittany Estates. The call was made by a woman who had ordered food through DoorDash and had been in contact with the driver, identified in the app as “Jacquez,” due to issues with the delivery. After coordinating via the app, the driver arrived at the designated location.

Upon arrival, a disagreement erupted between the customer, Keith, and Crenshaw, who was accompanying Keith in the vehicle. The situation intensified when the customer decided to record the altercation on her cell phone. According to the deputy’s report, the video footage captured Crenshaw retrieving a black handgun from the car’s passenger side and threatening the woman, leaving the victim fearing for her safety.

Following the confrontation, Crenshaw reportedly took control of the car and drove away, leaving Keith behind. It was later implied that Crenshaw might have returned to pick up Keith after leaving the scene, as he was not located in Brittany Estates when officers arrived.

Crenshaw reportedly got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and drove away without Keith; Keith reportedly walked away. The deputy noted that Keith was not found in Brittany Estates, so it was presumed that Crenshaw picked him up before law enforcement arrived.

Other deputies met with Crenshaw and Keith at One Fifty One Apartments (15100 NW 150th Ct) in Alachua, and post Miranda, both suspects reportedly said that after the incident with the victim, they agreed to go to Keith’s uncle’s residence, where Keith went inside and left the gun on a table. The uncle reportedly gave consent for deputies to collect the firearm, which was confirmed to be the same gun displayed in the incident.

Crenshaw has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, and improperly exhibiting a firearm. She has no criminal convictions, and Judge Meshon Rawls ordered her held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold her without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.

Keith has been charged with tampering with evidence. He has no criminal convictions, and Judge Rawls ordered him released on his own recognizance.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
