Arkansas Mother, Twin Children Found Dead a Day After Divorce from Violent Ex

An Arkansas mother was tragically discovered dead from gunshot wounds in her Sebastian County residence, having shared a foreboding Facebook post months prior to her demise.

In a post shared in August, Charity Beallis wrote, “If a partner has ever strangled you, they will likely kill you,” as captured in a screenshot from a Daily Press article discussing domestic violence. This ominous message now carries haunting significance.

The article from which the post was taken delves into the serious issue of domestic abuse and its potential deadly consequences. Beallis’s sharing of this content underscores the dangers she may have been aware of.

According to a media release from the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), as reported by CrimeOnline, officers responded to a call on December 3 regarding a welfare check at a Bonanza residence located on the 1100 block of 1st Avenue.

Upon gaining entry into the home with the assistance of property staff, authorities discovered the bodies of Charity Beallis, aged 40, along with two six-year-old children, all victims of fatal gunshot wounds. They were declared deceased at the site, as confirmed by the official release.

SCSO is currently waiting on autopsy results and processing evidence. The United States Secret Service and Homeland Security Investigations are reportedly assisting in the investigation, although no one has been arrested.

The deaths happened one day after Beallis had a final hearing concerning her divorce from Dr. Randall Beallis.

The divorce filings came less than a month after Dr. Beallis had been arrested for allegedly strangling Charity, which is said to have happened in front of her children, according to 5NEWS.

Charity Beallis had been fighting for full custody of the children, after Dr. Beallis’s arrest for aggravated assault on a family member, third-degree domestic battery, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.

Dr. Beallis reached an agreement and pleaded guilty to third-degree battery on October 9.

Randall’s lawyer, Michael Pearce, told FOX News Digital that his client has been cooperative with the investigation into the deaths.

“Mr. Beallis was not responsible for the death of Mrs. Beallis nor his children’s deaths,” Pierce stated. “Mrs. Beallis has made false accusations against Mr. Beallis in the past.”

Following the deaths, Pearce filed a motion to dismiss the divorce. However, Charity’s son, John Powell, 24, is pushing to finalize it.

“She was a good Christian woman that loved her children and loved her family and friends more than anything. She always put God first, and I’m grateful for that because I know where she is now: in heaven,” Powell said, according to KXII 12.

Due to her death, however, a judge on Monday reportedly ordered an abatement in the case. According to court records, Powell went to court to get the case reinstated.

“My legal team has began to help me fight for my mother’s justice and this divorce case and stuff. I really can’t disclose a lot of information, but my legal team is working on it,” he said.

The investigation continues. Check back for updates.
