A tragic case has unfolded in New York, where a man who was reported missing has been discovered dead on his own property. In a shocking twist, the investigation has led to criminal charges against at least one family member.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office initially received information suggesting that Roger Pitt had departed with his belongings packed in his car. However, subsequent findings contradicted this narrative, prompting law enforcement to conduct multiple search warrants. These searches ultimately led to the grim discovery of Pitt’s remains on his own land.
Following the investigation, authorities have arrested Rodney Pitt, aged 46, and Drew White, aged 23. Both face serious charges including murder, conspiracy, tampering with evidence, and the concealment of a human corpse. Additionally, Tania Pitt, 43, has been charged with conspiracy and tampering with physical evidence.
While Rodney Pitt and Drew White remain in custody without bail, Tania Pitt has been released with instructions to appear in court at a future date.
Rodney Pitt and White were both jailed with no bail, while Tania Pitt was released with an order to appear at a later date.
Rodney Pitt is the son of the murdered man, the Albany Times-Union reported. It’s not clear how the other two are connected, other than Tania Pitt having the same last name.
