The FBI has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of a 63-year-old Nevada woman who vanished over a year ago.
Besalynn “Bessy” Mary James was last seen on January 20, 2025, at her home on the Lummi Nation Indian Reservation in Bellingham, Washington, as reported by KTVB 7. Authorities are seeking any leads in her disappearance and have highlighted her connections to several locations.
While investigators suspect that James may be in Idaho, she also has known ties to Sacramento, California, and Nyssa, Oregon, according to FBI officials. This broadens the scope of the search and underscores the urgency of the situation.
The Seattle Times has reported that James left behind her personal belongings and her beloved dogs, a detail that has raised concerns among those who know her, as she is known to rarely part with her pets.
James is described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo reading “Bes” on her arm. At the time of her last sighting, she was wearing a black jacket.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI’s Toll-Free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the FBI’s Seattle Field Office at (206) 622-0460.
