Earlier this month, Oregon police said they are revisiting the unsolved 2010 disappearance of a 7-year-old boy.

Kyron Horman vanished from Skyline Elementary School in Portland after a science fair in the morning. KOIN reported that he was last seen with his stepmother, who said she dropped him off early for the fair and denied involvement.

According to KPTV, Horman never arrived at class and he was marked absent. His family only learned he was missing after he did not come home on the school bus.

OregonLive reported that Horman’s father filed for divorce a month after his son’s disappearance. Though Horman’s stepmother was investigated, no arrests were ever made.

Multnomah County police said its department and Gresham police have been digitizing case files over the past year. Police said the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit will review the documents and evidence once that process is complete, according to KOIN.

“As we approach the 15th anniversary of Kyron Horman’s disappearance, I want to reaffirm my continued commitment to this case,” Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez said, per KOIN. “My office has begun a thorough and methodical review of the case with fresh eyes, and we look forward to receiving further analysis from the Sheriff’s Office and the FBI. Our focus remains where it has always belonged — on Kyron and his family.”
