A man from Florida is accused of driving under the influence and breaching an airport security gate, allegedly attempting to board several planes in the process.

Bryan John Parker faces numerous charges, including attempted aircraft piracy, burglary of a conveyance, felony trespassing at an airport, indecent exposure, criminal mischief, DUI resulting in property damage, and refusal to undergo testing. These allegations were detailed in a press release from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

Currently, court documents do not specify if the 58-year-old has entered a plea regarding the charges.

On March 25, Parker, described as “highly intoxicated” in the press release, reportedly drove his blue Ford Mustang through a perimeter fence at the international terminal of Daytona Beach International Airport, making his way onto the airfield.

According to witnesses, Parker came dangerously close to colliding with a taxiing Embry-Riddle plane before allegedly attempting to board several aircraft. Security personnel eventually intervened to stop him.

Parker was behaving “very erratically,” police wrote in an arrest affidavit obtained by Oxygen, adding that he allegedly admitted to driving his car through the airport gate. An aircraft technician noted in the affidavit that Parker’s car sustained significant damage with its debris scattered across the airfield.

Parker also allegedly told police that he wanted to fly to Sanibel Island to visit his sister, according to the doc which also noted that he offered money to a person on one of the planes to “get him the f–k away from here.”

In footage of Parker’s arrest, published on Facebook by the sheriff’s office, he claimed to not remember anything about the incident.

“I was at my house, I went to an AA meeting,” Parker said in the footage. “Then, the next thing you know, I’m doing cocaine and drinking and smoking pot.”

Parker was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail.

An attorney for Parker did not immediately reply to a request for comment from Oxygen. His arraignment is scheduled for April 28.
