Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Parker Aeon Siegel, 19, of Boca Raton, has been formally charged with sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in a UF dorm in July.
Siegel was originally arrested on July 8 after allegedly holding the victim down on his bed in his room and raping her. The victim told a University of Florida Police Department officer that she repeatedly told him, “No,” and said, “I have to go.”

Despite repeated requests for more information about the incident, UF only told Alachua Chronicle that Siegel was a student majoring in Computer Science and that he had been immediately trespassed from campus. Siegel is not registered at UF for the Fall 2023 semester. The full statements from UF can be found here.
Siegel was released on $100,000 bail the next day, and his attorney filed a written plea of not guilty, a motion to provide more information about the alleged crime, a demand for disclosure of any exonerating evidence, and a motion to dismiss the charges on July 10. Siegel’s attorney also filed a motion to preserve evidence on July 31. The judge has not yet ruled on any of the motions, and Siegel is scheduled to be arraigned on October 9.
