A former New York Giants cornerback remains unaccounted for since mid-July, sparking concerns and questions about his whereabouts.
Sam Beal, aged 29, was last seen on July 13, 2025, shortly after he dropped off his girlfriend at a relative’s house. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, Beal took his girlfriend’s car, intending to drive to work. However, he unexpectedly headed towards Virginia Beach.
In a phone conversation, Beal informed his girlfriend that he was in Virginia Beach but promised he was returning home. Unfortunately, that was the last communication anyone had with him, as he has not been heard from since.
Later, a family member discovered the car Beal was using. Inside, they found his socks and shoes placed near the front passenger seat, along with traces of sand—clues that only deepen the mystery of his disappearance.
The missing persons system confirmed that Beal left with a wallet containing his driver’s license and bank card. Although his case was officially entered into the national database in October, it remains unclear when his disappearance was initially reported to the authorities.
Drafted by the Giants 2018, Beal played for two seasons before for opting out in 2020 due to the pandemic. He was cut from the team the following year.
Beal was described as standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, and having short black hair and a short beard.
Anyone with information regarding Beal’s whereabouts is asked to call Kentwood police at 616-698-6580 or Virginia Beach police at 757-385-4141.
