In a disturbing case that has captured attention, Ohio authorities have taken a man into custody on multiple charges related to sex crimes involving minors and animals. Tony McCollister, aged 43, was arrested on December 23 and appeared in court this past Monday, facing serious charges that include the felony of pandering obscene material involving children and a misdemeanor for engaging in sexual acts with animals.
According to reports from WXIX, McCollister is accused of uploading illicit images of children to his Google account in November. Additionally, allegations have emerged that he committed sexual acts with his two dogs at his home in Warren County.
McCollister’s name may be familiar to some, as he appeared on the A&E reality television show “Neighbors with Benefits.” This show, focusing on the lives of swingers, premiered in 2015 but was swiftly canceled after just two episodes due to public backlash, as reported by WLWT.
Following his arrest, TMZ revealed that McCollister’s two dogs have been seized by authorities. Additionally, a judge has imposed a strict order requiring McCollister to maintain a distance of at least 500 feet from all children and animals. He was released from jail after posting a $250,000 bail.
Further developments reported by WLWT indicate that the residence where McCollister lived is owned by Erica Grove, who also faces charges of sexual conduct with an animal. A court summons has been issued for Grove, although it remains unclear if she is in custody. The nature of her relationship with McCollister has not been publicly clarified.
Grove’s arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday.
