When Linda Brown fails to show up on the first day back at school following winter break, her friends and family immediately sense trouble. Linda, a dedicated educator, would never neglect her students.

Linda is a cherished special education teacher at Robert Healy Elementary School, situated in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. She is happily married to Antwon Brown. The Chicago Police Department is actively investigating her disappearance.

The last confirmed sightings of Linda were by her husband on Friday evening and neighbors on Saturday morning. She missed a regular appointment that day and has been unreachable by phone ever since.

Worry escalates into fear as the weekend passes without Linda’s return.

Antwon last saw her Friday night, but neighbors recall seeing her Saturday morning near their residence. Linda’s purse, including her phone and wallet, is unaccounted for, though her phone continues to ring when called.

Family members and friends retrace the teacher’s last known steps, but don’t find any leads.

Her sister’s husband, Lorenzo, tells “Crime Stories” staff that Linda’s vehicle has been located at 35th and Lake Park. The footage also shows her walking across a pedestrian bridge alone on January 3, at around 3 a.m.

Linda is 5 feet tall, 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, last seen wearing a long, puffy black coat with shiny Ugg-style boots.

Authorities are searching the area where her blue Honda Civic, plate number CX57470, was located on Wednesday afternoon.

Anyone with information on Linda Brown should contact Chicago PD SVU detectives at 312-747-8380.
