Chris Watts, the convicted murderer of his wife and children, is said to have embraced Christianity following an on-air discussion by CrimeOnline’s Nancy Grace about his case.
The Daily Mail reports that Dylan Tallman, who shared a cell block with Watts in 2020, recounted how Watts “dropped to his knees and confessed his sins” after watching Grace critique him on television.
“She was passionately addressing the heinous nature of his actions,” Tallman remarked.
Tallman also noted that Watts avoided discussing the murders directly, choosing instead to reference passages from the Bible. The two inmates communicated frequently through the thin walls of the Wisconsin prison, engaging in lengthy conversations.
“I think that was his rock bottom, when he was confronted with all the things he had done and how many lives he had ruined. That was a lot for him. He turned to God after that.”
Tallman added that Watts wouldn’t talk about the murders unless it was through Scripture in the Bible. The pair reportedly spoke through the thin walls inside a Wisconsin correctional facility, sometimes daily and for hours.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, in November 2018, Watts admitted to murdering his wife, Shanann, at their home in Frederick, Colorado. She was pregnant with their third child.
He also admitted to killing their two young daughters, Bella and Celeste.
In August 2018, Watts strangled Shanann at their home, he drove her body to a worksite, where he suffocated Bella and Celeste. He buried Shanann, pregnant at the time, in a shallow grave and dumped the girls’ bodies inside oil storage tanks.
Weld County District Court Judge Marcelo Kopcowe sentenced Watts to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Watts had been having an affair at the time.
Tallman said Watts continued to correspond with women while locked up, sometimes writing 15-page letters and making continuous calls.
“He will talk to a girl and she becomes his everything really fast,” Tallman told DailyMail.
“He becomes obsessed with a woman and she becomes all he can think of – and he’ll do whatever they ask him to do.”
Some women have reportedly put money on Watts’ books.
Watts is currently housed at the Dodge Correctional Center in Waupun, Wisconsin. He’s serving five life sentences.
