Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jonathan Edwin Bradley, 35, was arrested yesterday and charged with felony criminal mischief after allegedly hitting his girlfriend’s parked car multiple times with the door of his own car.

Bradley reportedly got into a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend at her workplace, then walked out of the business and allegedly kicked her car several times, then slammed the door of his car repeatedly into her car, damaging both doors on the passenger side and the front fender. The damage to her car was estimated at $3,000.

A witness who did not know either party before the incident reportedly corroborated the victim’s story.

A Gainesville Police Department officer went to Bradley’s residence and found him and the vehicle there; his car reportedly had fresh damage to the edge of one door.

Post Miranda, Bradley reportedly admitted that he hit the victim’s car but said he did not use his car’s door to do it. When he was told there was a witness to the incident, he reportedly said he did not want to incriminate himself.

Bradley has two misdemeanor convictions (none violent). Judge Walter Green set bail at $2,500.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
