Staff Report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Authorities have taken Charlotte Tsianina Shaw, aged 41, into custody following accusations that she drove a truck over a man’s foot.
According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy, the incident occurred around 4:43 p.m. on May 4. Shaw and the victim were engaged in a dispute after Shaw attempted to present the victim with eviction documents, which he claimed were unofficial and not properly filed in court. As the victim stood by the driver’s side of Shaw’s truck to point out the irregularities, Shaw allegedly ran over his foot by reversing the vehicle, then drove forward, and finally backed out of the driveway while the victim cried out for assistance.
The deputy noted that the victim sustained significant injuries, including deep cuts on the inside of his leg, and his foot was visibly swollen and discolored. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for urgent medical care.
After being read her Miranda rights, Shaw reportedly stated that she could not recall the incident of driving over the victim’s foot.
Shaw has been charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm. She has two misdemeanor convictions (non-violent) and two criminal traffic convictions. Judge Susan Miller-Jones set bail at $30,000.
