GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sierra Skye Fararo-Curran, 34, was arrested early September 24 after authorities said she attacked her boyfriend with a nail protruding from a wooden board and threw a candle holder at him.
An Alachua County Sheriff’s deputy contacted the alleged victim around 1:12 a.m. near a home in the 6500 block of SW 53rd Avenue. He told investigators that Fararo-Curran had struck him the previous evening with the board and nail. He also alleged that she forcefully squeezed and twisted his testicle because she suspected he was unfaithful.
The man further reported that Fararo-Curran had thrown a candle holder at his back roughly two days earlier. According to his account, she had assaulted him intermittently for about four months, which he attributed to her not taking prescribed mental health medication.
The deputy observed a fresh puncture wound on the victim’s arm that was reportedly caused by the nail, along with a bruise and new gouge mark on his back consistent with the candle-holder allegation.
After being read her Miranda rights, Fararo-Curran reportedly acknowledged grabbing and twisting the victim’s testicles because she believed he was cheating. She denied striking him with the board, but said she had picked it up and brought it into her bedroom because she was afraid of the victim.
The deputy said both the wooden board with the attached nail and the candle holder were found inside the residence.
Fararo-Curran faces two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of domestic battery. Her record includes one nonviolent felony conviction and six nonviolent misdemeanor convictions. Three battery-related cases filed in 2025 were later dropped, with some involving the same alleged victim in the current case. Judge Adam Lee set bail at $80,000 and ordered Fararo-Curran to live separately from the victim if released.
