GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a sexual battery incident that occurred in the area of 400 SW 10th Street on September 19, 2023.

The incident occurred at 3:15 a.m. on September 19, and the subject is described as a white male, about six feet tall, thin and muscular, wearing shorts and a dry-fit blue or blue-gray shirt. He is between 20 and 30 years of age with shorter, light-colored hair. The suspect was seen entering the area before the incident and left the area about the time the victim called 911. Surveillance video shows that he appeared to be hiding from responding officers as he left the area on foot.
