GAINESVILLE, Fla. – One person was transported to the hospital this evening from the Tower Oaks neighborhood with multiple gunshot wounds.

At about 5:20 p.m., Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call about a person shot in the 6900 block of SW 21st Lane, found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds, and rendered aid. The victim was stabilized and transported to a local hospital.
