Authorities in North Carolina are actively searching for a woman who vanished last week, sparking concern and a widespread hunt for clues to her whereabouts.
Frezja Baker, a 31-year-old resident, has been missing since December 4, last seen at two locations in Charlotte: Cookout and Quick N E-Z Food Mart. Despite calling her family to say she was just an hour away, she never reached her destination, raising alarm among her loved ones.
While details on her disappearance remain limited, Baker’s family reported to WCNC that she had been in the company of a male acquaintance when she was last seen.
According to Charlotte investigators, Baker departed from the food mart in her gray-blue 2004 Honda Accord, which bears a temporary South Carolina license plate, HBL5984A.
She is described as having a height of 5 feet 4 inches and was last observed wearing a black long-sleeve shirt with “Panthers” emblazoned on the chest in white and blue. Her attire also included dark leggings and white shoes.
Baker’s father told WCNC that police had searched a wooded area near the food mart where his daughter was last seen.
“She’s alive. I’m not going to think anything negative. We are going to find my daughter,” he told the news outlet.
Anyone with information regarding Baker’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
