James “Conor” Hanlon spent more than six agonizing minutes on a 911 call, desperately seeking assistance for his wife, Brooke Hanlon. This recording, now obtained by Oxygen, captures the urgency and distress of the moment.
Conor recounted to emergency services that he found Brooke unresponsive on the second floor of their home in Chester on June 6.
According to a statement from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, this call prompted a response from EMS and Chester Township Police to the Pottersville Road residence. Tragically, they discovered the 35-year-old deceased, with the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirming the cause of death as multiple sharp force injuries, labeling the incident a homicide.
What Did Brooke Hanlon’s Husband Conor Hanlon Say In His 911 Call?
The call, filled with Conor’s frantic cries, commenced around 4:30 p.m. as he conveyed his address amidst a palpable sense of urgency.
“Oh my God,” Conor exclaimed in the recording obtained by Oxygen. “I need an ambulance. I need an ambulance.”
He told the dispatcher that he found his wife unconscious in their home.
“I just found my wife,” a hysterical Conor explained. “I don’t know what’s going on. CPR, I need CPR instruction.”
When the dispatcher asked whether 35-year-old Brooke was still conscious, he replied, “Oh my God, there’s a laceration in her chest!”
“There’s blood,” he added. “I need you here. I need you here immediately.”
After confirming that the paramedics were on their way, the dispatcher asked Conor whether there was a defibrillator in the home and Conor responded that there wasn’t.
“I don’t know what to do,” Conor told him. “What the f–k? What the f–k?”
The dispatcher began to tell him how to administer CPR as Conor exclaimed, “There’s blood everywhere.”
As the dispatcher continued to count out loud, guiding him through the compressions, Conor exclaimed, “Oh my God” and “I need you here,” then began to wail and scream.
“Sir, try and take a deep breath, sir,” the dispatcher told him. “Are you still doing the chest compressions?”
To which Conor replied, “of course,” then started to count out loud again before seemingly turning his attention to his wife, saying, “Oh, baby girl. No!”
“Brooke, baby,” he told her. “I need you. I need you.”
As the paramedics got closer, Conor told the dispatcher he was on the second floor of the home and that the door was open.
“I got this,” Conor said. “You got it, Brooke. Come on.”
Then, Conor told the dispatcher that Brooke had a cut right below her breast as he asked, “What the f–k happened?”
The dispatcher continued to guide him through CPR. After the dispatcher told Conor that he was doing a great job, Conor replied, “I’m not” and began to cry and scream.
The call ended with the paramedics arriving at the scene and Conor telling them, “I found her.”
Has There Been Any Arrests in Brooke Hanlon’s Death?
Just minutes after arriving at the scene, an officer deemed the scene “suspicious,” and the major crimes team was called in to investigate, according to audio obtained by People,
The investigation remains ongoing and no arrests or suspects have been announced.
Conor has reportedly retained an attorney and has been communicating with authorities, according to Fox News.
A spokesperson for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Oxygen July 23 that there were no new updates on the case.
