Press release from Gainesville Police Department

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gainesville Police Department is seeking the public’s help in an ongoing investigation into a shooting that occurred at Dee’s Liquor, located at 1030 SE 4th Ave, on July 12, 2024, at approximately 11:50 p.m.

We believe the suspects were occupying a black Cadillac SRX, pictured above, and shot numerous bullets at a crowd of people outside Dee’s Liquor.

Investigators believe this vehicle was parked in the city of Gainesville for several days prior to the shooting. We are asking anyone who may have seen this vehicle parked anywhere in Gainesville between July 9, 2024, and July 12, 2024, to come forward.
