A Florida man was arrested this week a year and a half after he allegedly threatened to kill a victim and “bury you in the back with the rest of them.”

Victor Colon, 62, has been charged with armed robbery with a firearm for the December 14, 2023 incident, WPLG reported.

According to the arrest report, the victim, whose age was not reported, and his father reported the incident ot Miami-Dade deputies three days after it took place. The victim told deputies that he was playing video games at his mother’s home when Colon — identified as a “friend” of his mother — barged into the room spewing profanities at him.

The victim pulled out his cell phone and began recording, while simulaneously trying to leave. At that point, Colon pulled out a gun and snatched his cell phone from his hand, grabbing him by the shirt and shoving him onto a couch.

Colon pointed the gun at the victim, pressing it into his head while telling him, “I should kill you,” the affidavit says.

At one point during the assault, Colon unchambered a round from his gun, pointed it at the victim’s head, and pulled the trigger.

“I should bury you in the back with the rest of them,” he allegedly said.

Then, the report said, Colon asked the victim’s mother if he should shoot her son, and she replied, ‘No,” so he began slapping the victim in the face.

When Colon went to the bathroom, the victim grabbed his cell phone and fled the home, snapping a photo of Colon’s license plate as he left.

Detectives located Colon through the plate number, and the victim identified him from a photograph.

Colon was booked into jail on Wednesday with no bond set, but there was no information about why it took a year and half to make an arrest. There were also no comments about whether “the rest of them” were in fact buried in the back.
