New York Girl Found Safe on Boat Following 18-Day Disappearance

A Patchogue family n New York continues their search for their missing daughter nearly a month after her disappearance.

Gabby Petito’s parents are helping raise awareness in the search for for Emmarae Gervasi, 14. She was last seen leaving her home on Terrell Street in East Patchogue on December 9, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Gabby vanished in 2021 and police later discovered her body in Wyoming. The Gabby Petito Foundation has since launched efforts to prevent similar incidents and to assist parents in their search efforts.

“It is important to get these stories out there and to help elevate the voices of people searching for their loved ones,”  Ganny’s father, Jim Schmidt, told Local News 12 Long Island.

Her father, Frank Gervasi, said she left home without wearing shoes suspects that his daughter is being held against her will.

“I do believe that she would’ve been home at this point,” Frank Gervasi said, according to PIX 11. “Let my baby go. We’re definitely coming for you.”

Gervasi has been driving through communities, putting up flyers and combing through the woods, Je’s also been engaging with locals to gather any information about her location.

Meanwhile, Petito’d family vowed to continue using their platform to help bring Emmanuelle home.

“It was really Gabby that made us have a voice, we speak because we understand as parents how it feels and having a missing loved one is the worst feeling in the world,” Oetitod’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, said.
