Jared Fogle, once known for his role as a spokesperson for Subway, now alleges he was misled by federal prosecutors into pleading guilty to charges related to child pornography.
Fogle was convicted by a jury and is currently serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution Englewood in Colorado. He received a prison term of 15 years and 8 months, with the earliest potential release date being March 24, 2029.
Fogle initially gained fame after claiming he shed over 200 pounds by eating Subway sandwiches, becoming a prominent face in the company’s advertising campaigns for more than ten years.
His downfall came in 2015 when he was dismissed from his position after confessing to engaging in sexual activities with at least two minors and acquiring child pornography involving at least 12 others.
Interestingly, Fogle’s current duties in prison include preparing sandwiches in the facility’s café.

The family of a girl who accused Fogle in a child pornography case that led to the former Subway pitchman’s imprisonment is dropping a lawsuit against him. A motion filed Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, in federal court in Indianapolis requested that the lawsuit be dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be brought back to court.
