A Kansas man arrested for stabbing his grandmother did so because he was angry she criticized how he did laundry.

Isaiah Langkiet was arrested in late August after he stabbed his 64-year-old grandmother, Elvera Langkiet, stabbing her twice in the neck and then leaving her in a pool of blood, KWCH reported.

According to Law&Crime, he did call 911 after he left the home and said he’d just “stabbed his grandmother.” Officers found him on the back porch.

Elvera Langkiet was found inside the home and rushed her to a hospital, where she had been expected to survive, but she refused further treatment after identifying her grandson as her assailant, KWCH said. Her condition worsened because of a lung disease, and died three days after the stabbing.

An autopsy determined she died from complications of the stabbing, ruling the death a homicide, Law&Crime said.

According to the affidavit released this week, Langkiet told police that his grandmother’s criticism made him angry so he slapped her and grabbed kitchen knife and stabbed her.

He further said he was “tired” of her “b******* at him,” the affidavit said.

Isaiah Langkiet was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, domestic battery and violation of a protection order before his grandmother died. He was subsequently charged with intentional and premeditated first-degree murder, KAKE said.
