The husband of a missing Pennsylvania woman has been charged with homicide after police say they found her body on a rural property in Columbia County.

Police arrested 39-year-old Vincent Lloyd Harp Sunday and charged him with criminal homicide, after discovering the body on a property located at 86 Harp Lane. He’s also been charged with tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, his wife, 33-year-old Katlyn Harp, disappeared from Columbia County on June 19. She was last seen at around 9 p.m. at her home on Fairview Drive.

Vincent Harp allegedly told police that he received a short text message from his wife saying she needed “a brake” and that friends were going to pick her up.

She reportedly added at the end, “Please don’t destroy my s***. I need my space to get out my head,” according to Daily Voice.

Police have not confirmed if the messages were written by Katlyn.

Columbia County Coroner Jeremy Reese pronounced Katlyn deceased at 3:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon while at the scene. According to NorthCentralPA News, Reese said the manner of death is expected to be homicide, after noting “observations and evidence at the scene.”

County records indicate that Vincent Harp previously owned the 38-acre property where the body was found, but sold it in 2023.

Meanwhile, court documents from 2018, obtained by Daily Voice, revealed allegations of domestic violence involving Vincent Harp’s former spouse, Stephanie Harp, 33, who died in 2021. In a separate incident, Vincent Harp faced charges of terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, simple assault, and harassment.

Harp is being held without bail at the Columbia County Correctional jail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 19.

The story is developing. Check back for updates.
