A Kentucky man was arrested after an hours-long stand-off and charged with firing shots a police officers.
Bardstown Police said they were called to the scene in a residential neighborhood around 10 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of shots fired, according to WLKY. The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Travis Bowman, ran into a home and barricaded himself inside.
For the next five hours, he allegedly fired multiple rounds at officers attempting to get him outside. Eventually, they were successful.
Bowman has been charged with attempted murder of a police officer and wanton endangerment of a police officer as well as a failure to appear charge, jail records show. He has not been charged in the initial shots fired call. He was given a $500,000 bond.
Police did not say if any police officers were injured while the bullets flew. Kentucky State Police continue the investigation.
