A substitute teacher in Kentucky is facing allegations that she video chatted from the shower with an underage student, exposing her breasts, while also making plans for a sexual meetup.

Krystal Sims, 30, is facing a charge of procuring or promoting the use of a minor for sexual activity by electronic means after the male student came forward with the allegations earlier this month, per WCLU.

According to a uniform citation obtained by Oxygen, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office received information that Sims had allegedly “communicated with an underage male juvenile for the purpose of meeting to have sex.” 

The student, who met with authorities on Oct. 2, told an investigator that he met Sims while she was working as a substitute teacher and later reached out to her through Snapchat.

On Aug. 22, the two allegedly began discussing a plan to meet in Cave City “to have sex,” according to the citation. The teen allegedly recorded a phone conversation he had with her that same day.

According to the report, a female can be heard on the recording “asking if the juvenile is coming to meet with her” at the start of the call.

At some point, the pair switched to a video call and the student told investigators that he was “able to see her exposed breast as she was nude in the shower,” according to the citation.

“I also learned that there were others present when this call was made,” the investigator wrote, before adding, “They also stated they could see the above female’s breast in the call.”

The same day that investigators spoke with the student, they reached out to Sims, who allegedly told them that several students had tried to reach out to her on social media, but she had not responded. 

After listening to the recording, authorities said she admitted to being the female voice in the call, but claimed she had wanted to meet “so that he could apologize for the way he had acted in class,” authorities said.

She added, according to the citation, that she and the boy had never met outside class and “nothing physical happened between them.”

Sims was arrested and booked on Oct. 2 into the Barren County Detention Center, according to jail records.

Her attorney Travis B. Lock told People that she plans to plead not guilty to the allegations against her. 

He added “As with almost all matters that make their way into the criminal justice system, there is certainly much more information than that which has been reported at this juncture.” 

Oxygen reached out to Lock, but did not get an immediate response. 

Sims was slated to appear in court for an arraignment on Oct. 8.
