A Texas man accused of killing his aunt’s boyfriend allegedly told investigators he opened fire because the victim gave him “bad vibes.”
Joitorian Bouye, 21, has been charged with murder and remains held in the Travis County Jail after authorities say he fatally shot 35-year-old Tyrell Pordia on Aug. 29. The Austin Police Department said officers were called to an Austin neighborhood for reports of a shooting and found Pordia suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing Bouye run from the area after the shooting, police said. He was later located, taken into custody and arrested that same day.

According to police, Bouye was advised of his rights after his arrest and then said he shot Pordia with an AR-15 because Pordia gave him “bad vibes.” Investigators said Bouye also claimed Pordia “wanted him dead” and told officers he had schizophrenia.
Bouye was charged with first-degree murder. His next court date was scheduled for Sept. 11.
