A former Florida educator is facing charges after police say she sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in 2023.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office took 32-year-old Sarah Jacas into custody on charges that include several counts of lewd or lascivious battery and molestation, as well as one count of statutory rape by an authority figure, according to an arrest warrant acquired by People Magazine.

The victim, now 16, recently informed Orange County deputies that Jacas allegedly sexually abused him in 2023. At the time of the alleged abuse, he was a student at Corner Lake Middle School in Orlando.

According to the affidavit, Jacas and the victim began having lunch together in her classroom at the start of the 2022-23 school year to help him “fit in” better. The student told investigators that their relationship grew closer during the lunches, with Jacas allegedly isolating him from other students.

Initially, they exchanged hugs and kisses on the cheek, but turned into molestation. She’s accused of covering her classroom windows with a curtains, putting a pillow in the corner of the room, and having sex with the child.

Jacas and the student then allegedly exchanged text messages outside of school hours. The child’s mother discovered them texting at 1 a.m. on one occasion and told them to stop, calling the behavior “abnormal.”

Click Orlando reports that Jacas then created a fake Instagram account where she engaged in “dirty talk” with the student, according to the affidavit.

“I just had sex with my husband and it wasn’t the best but I imagined it was you,” she allegedly told the student.

Investigators reported that Jacas used number codes for affectionate messages. As noted in the affidavit, the teen explained that “115” stood for “I miss you,” and “520” meant “I love you.”

The teacher’s husband learned about her acts with the victim and threatened to report her.

“[Jacas] called [the alleged victim] from an unknown number and told [the alleged victim] her husband found out about their relationship and for [the alleged victim] to ‘lay low’ because her husband” became upset, Deputy Sheriff Kyle Cole stated in the affidavit.

On June 16, the victim called Jacas while he was with law enforcement.

Police then took Jacas into custody on June 23: She was released on bail from the Orange County Detention Facility on June 25.
