A Tennessee man, aged 48, is facing serious charges after allegedly distributing hundreds of files containing child sexual abuse material.
According to court records, Michael Francis is accused of uploading 539 images and 145 videos between May 11, 2024, and October 15, 2024. The initial alert reportedly came from Google, but the information was passed through several entities before reaching the Memphis Police Department, as reported by WHBQ.
The affidavit in the case reveals that Google provided both the name and two verified phone numbers of the individual involved, both of which were linked to Francis.
In addition to the explicit material, the user uploaded self-produced, non-explicit images and videos during the same timeframe. These matched known photographs of Francis, further linking him to the uploads.
Francis is currently charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and is being held on a $75,000 bond. A bond review is scheduled for Friday.
